he probably knocked and started to walk away instantly, heard the door and quickly pretended he was waiting :P check and see if you got carded lol

no i dont, he was stood far back soon as i opened the door so its not like he stepped back, i think he was being stubun or something.

Had a letter delivered and had to reach down to pick it up from the floor. The scumbag postie had just chucked it though the letterbox instead of handing it to me in person.

So I made a thread about it.

I have delivery drivers that stand back from the door and delivery drivers that stand on the door step.

Personally, I'm a doorbell ringer and stand backer. I think it's quite rude to be stood on the door step when the door is opened as you're suddenly there in the occupants face. It can be slightly disconcerting at 8am as I've experienced myself from creepy stand on door step delivery drivers.

why would he expect the customer to step so far back tho ? it was about 3 feet away , i really can't understand it.

Good point. Don't you just hate it when you come across people who have dont seem to understand personal space I.E. open the door and postie is about 3cm from you?

I'm a stander backer, and I'd appreciate that my delivery people do the same!
