been Ocing the fsb on my cpu, and ive manged to get it in windows at 350fsb!? says in bios mems at 166 on the divider. How do i set it to run on the 1:1 divider? Wats the best way to squeeze performance out of my chip? I have got the a8n32-sli, always been with intel so new features in bios are strange. Thought the higher the fsb the better, but it doesnt seem to get vhigh bandwidth in sisoft? About same as my [email protected] :P

No way the RAM will take it at 1:1 ratio at that FSB even if it is PC4000

Iv heard that tigher timings on the RAM are better for AMD rather than higher FSB but I may be wrong.

i know it aint gonna take it at a 1:1, just used a tool to work out the "actual fsb" and it aint that high tbh about 275mhz :) so not to bad :)

That on the divider I guess. Try making the timings for tight and see how you get on.

What clock is the 4400 @ btw?

use CPUz to check it, plus that will show all the details of the RAM ect.

About the speed factor. Either you add tight timings say if you want to game
OR
you can go for higher Mhz on the RAM say like for encoding videos ect.

If you can do what I do and have two modes in the BIOS, one for gaming and one for encoding.

But all depends on what you use your computer for.

so more fsb the better? i dont understand the new commands in the bios. Anyone wanna explain any sb-nb? southbridge to north? think i put it on 250?

at the mo im on, 220x11 @2420mhz on 1:1, any higher the ratio auto changes. Cant stop that any ideas on how to keep it 1:1? This at 1.350v. Mem freq=220 3-3-3-8-11-16 Speed timings 250mhz?? cas 3 ram-cas 4 ras pre 4 TRAS10 so *** i need to do?

Hmm strange. Maybe you need to get the newest BIOS update for the board. That may stop this problem.

If it doesnt ask around in the motherboard section of the forum.

heheh i upgraded bios on this board to the latest before, wouldnt reboot itself, so no turning on raid controllers in bios! Might risk it again! :P

Set the ram to DDR400 against auto

This will force it to increase 1:1 with the HTT (effectively your FSB so I don't know where 350 came from!)

Reduce your HT multiplier to 4x or 800Mhz (it is described as both in the BIOS)
