Wierd GTA 5 performance issues

Im actually quite happy with the performance in game...

But you know you spend 1300 quid on a card and not getting better than 1080Ti results at 1920 x 1200? Doesnt make sense to me.
 
You dont buy a card to test at low res tho do you, ur gpu isnt going to be needing to work hard for 1200p. :) Heck my vega 56 probs do about the same fps at that res.
Btw is it true u just have 8gb of ram? That could be a issue. 16gb would be min for a gaming rig like urs defo.

Ask guest to run at ur native res using dsr then compare results.

Yes 8GB at the moment but I may slap in the other 6GB (its just that they are unmatched separate pairs).

Ask Guest to run at my native res is rubbing it in a bit :D ?

If thats 1 stick of 8gb then your not running in dual channel mode, which to me would hinder performance or least it used to, dunno how its like on ddr4 these days. If its 2 sticks of 4gb then hopefully its in dual channel mode. But yeah get some more ram in there, if u can afford a 2080ti u can grab another 8gb stick of ram. :D cheeky but true. :D

Dunno if id put the 6gb one in (how can it be 6?) Unless u meant 8 then nvm lol.

Sorry for not explaining correctly bud.
Ive got 2 X 4GB sticks in dual for sure (I checked CPU-Z).

With Flight Sim coming out Im going to be picking up a kit of 4 x 8GB but I cant any on OCUK....
