Ok, i recently did a reinstall on my PC installing windows 7 onto my SSD that came back from the netherlands RMA. Its a 60gig agility.

During the reinstall of windows I also added a 3tb hard drive to my system. It took a few reboots and stuff to get everything sorted and I think i have everything almost set now but I have this wierd issue with my keyboard.

I have a Qpad MK-85 and every so often it just starts flashing the lights on the keyboard randomly on and off. This only ever happens to the lights on the keys never the lights on the scroll light or the num lock or caps just the keys. It seems to flash randomly from then on until I reset the PC and it comes back to normal. Most of the time I will swap whatever USB port the keyboard is currently plugged into and restart the pc this seems to clear the problem.

I am not sure there is even anything wrong with the keyboard becuase this only started to happen since I did the reinstall so I am reluctant to RMA it becuase I doubt they will be able to reproduce the fault. So do the wonderful people of OCuk have any suggestions?

I can kind of rule out power becuase I have 750watt power supply. I did think it was sorting out on the USB port or something becuase it does only seem to happen when the pc has been on for a while could that be a build up of static charge causing the issue?

I would be eternally grateful for any suggestions on how to solves this rather annoying issue.

Hi olivier,

I dont have any other issue with usb devices on this pc at all. I have a mouse and an external 1tb hard drive that has its own power currently connected.

I have not yet tried this keyboard on another PC since it work before flawlessly I was hoping it would be an easy fix but I suppose I could try it on the upstairs PC and see if it does the same thing then I can put it down to the keyboard.

I would rather just RMA it to OCuk who can deal with Qpad direct if the keyboard turns out to be faulty of course but thats a last resort becuase I dont think there is anything wrong with the keyboard.

Ok, Tested the Keyboard on the upstairs PC and I get the same issue so it would appear its the keyboard I have emailed as you suggested and also left a note on there support thingy but I suspect they both go to the same place. I will be requesting a RMA from OC for this its not a cheap keyboard and its annoying tbh but thanks a lot of the pointers.
