I recently redecorated my pc room and as a result my pc was left off in my other bedroom for 2 days. once i was finished i set my pc back up switched her back on and when it booted into windows i was greeted with these flickering lines on differant locations completely across the horizontal width of the screen.
they dissapeard after five minutes so i thought nothing of it but today i unplugged my pc to perform some cable managmant on the power cords and when i switched it back on they are there again. now the weird this is they are still present when something is on screen bar an internet page, if an internet page is open regardless of weather it is plain white or many differant coulers the area the internet window is in the lines dissapear instantly as soon as i move the page they are there. this isnt just the part of the csreen it is in this is the full horizontal plane, so for example i have lines runing through the bottom third of my screen say and i open a web page and put it in the very bottom left of the screen but only on the left and the desktop is still visible on the right

I have uininstalled and installed the new drivers and the issue was preasant during and without the drivers installed, i have replaced the DVI adaptor on the VGA lead and it persists i even tryed a differant vga lead.
it seems the longer the monitor is switched on for the lines slowly dissapear.
one thing i think may have happend is it was placed about a foot away from a radiator and my G/F put the heating on one night while it was there though im struglin to see how the screen could be damaged as the problem doesnt appear if the internet page is there and the monitor wouldnt give a carp what was on the screen if it had a fault would it?
the monitor is aroun 4 weeks old and im starting to get a little peeved now my bloody room looks lovely and this happens gggrrrrrrrr
