Hey all

Getting a really strange intermittent problem.
Just got my new rig up and running, brand new everything, using TS to talk to friends on WoW and for a while it works fine, after a while usually when im in game, my voice disappears entirely and only my ingame sounds can be heard over TS. My mic seems to stop recording when it does this, doesnt pick anything up in Windows Sound Recorder. While WoW is running, my voice when it can be heard, tends to be fairly low and often distorted.

Tried a different microphone, both mic in and line in ports, reinstalled the sound drivers and even updated bios to no avail, ran over all the settings I know in recording and playback to no avail, only thing is that mic isnt in playback and line in isnt in recording which I thought odd when looking through the volumes to view.
Motherboard is A8R32 MVP Deluxe, and it came with Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Completely out of ideas, thanks in advance for any help you can offer :)

Stereo mix will be on.

Go into sound settings click options then properties, click the radio button that says "Recording". Tick the stereo mix box, and make sure microphone is ticked, click OK. Make sure the Microphone select tick box, is ticked in the stereo mix properties turn it right up. Turn on advanced controls (Properties > Advanced Controls). Click Advanced under Microphone, and makesure Microphone Boost is on.

^^ Hope you understand that im not very good on writing things up :o

Hang on, reading back on what you said, you have probs done this anyway, but ill still "post it" just incase :o

Microphone definetly selected, only wierd thing is that even with advanced controls ticked, theres no advanced under microphone, so cant put microphone boost on.
Will try Ventrilo in a bit if I cant get this to work, our guild uses TS so cant get them all to change over for me :/
