Wierd Movie File Problem

I'm normally pretty good with the software side of things but this one has got me stumped.

I've got an avi movie file that I'm trying to watch but for some reason windows media player etc play it no problem but it misses out the last 15 minutes of the movie.

However, when I play the file in DivX player 6.3 it plays the whole movie no problem and shows the entire thing.

I've checked that my codecs are up to date and even tried to convert the file to something else to see if that fixes it but no joy.

Any ideas?

try using vlc player for movies
