Hi,

My epox 9nda3+ decided to pack up on me, and I was uncertain if cpu etc were gone....

....so in an "urgent need to find out the truth" I picked up another board to test everything out on - a gigabyte GA-K8NF-9.

Luckily my Venice 3000+ chip is ok, as is the memory etc so it appears that the epox has indeed packed in.

Anyhow - didn't think the new board was up to overclocking - however after reading a few web sites, forums etc it would appear that theres a hidden option in the bios which enables o/c options. :D

Did that, whacked it up to the same o/c settings as my old epox - cpu @ 2.61 (290x9). The odd thing is. Next day, when I switched it on and powered up, it came up with the post screen, bios version etc, paused just before it comes up with the drive details, then reset after 5 seconds. :(

It did this a few times - and then finally booted up with no problems? Only seems to be doing this since overclocking. When it finally starts working, it works fine in windows etc...? Fine on doing resets/restarts afterwards as well.

Almost like its taking a while to warm up - or is the bios autodetecting some setting anywhere?

Any ideas anybody?
