Hey guys not sure if its is a video card or a monitor problem so wasnt sure which subforum it should be in but..

Nvidia 280gtx on a samsung t240..

If i connect via vga NO problems at all..

If i connect via DVI the monitor sometimes doesnt see the signal from the video card.. Particularly if I restart windows.. Can make it very tricky to get to the bios :(

Has anyone had this happen before and can you help?

It might be "failing over" to vga....does it have a switch in it's menu's to set the input manually?
My HannsG does a simillar thing, I only realised that's what was happening, because I have another machine connected to the VGA, and it would pop up on screen as soon as the windows machine rebooted.
 
I should have explained this better :)

It starts up, displays hdmi input then analog input then digital. Sometimes it finds the digital signal, sometimes not.. Sometimes it cycles through inputs 3 times then goes into standby :(
