Hello I just purchased a new PC from over clockers with a
'TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F SCSI CdRom' optical drive.

Now yesterday I put my crysis disc in it and it booted up the
crysis autorun and it gave me a menu to install crysis - nice.

Today... I've put in 3 different game Disks that I know work
and nothing comes up (no auto run) and if I open the drive from
my computer (explore, or double click) it just crashes on me.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm running vistax64 with:
Q9450 2.6
4g 1066
GTX 260
EVGA 790i ***

Note: I just installed vista myself, perhaps there's a driver or something
I missed? But seems unlikely as Crysis installed fine... anyway thanks in
advance.

Edit: Just ran the "update driver" for the optical drive in Device Manager
according to Vista my drivers are up to date for this drive.

Try uninstalling the device though device manager then reboot and let it auto install again.

My Hard disks used to do it on my Nforce 4, just had to uninstall them, then reboot and they would sort themselves out.

Well its probably a dodgy drive or cable, if you just bought the PC from OC have you contacted them via webnotes?
