Well its not your ususal "no booting" or "3 red lights" but as I was playing Call Of Duty 2 today I was getting some wierd colours coming up on screen.

As I was walking past some of the abandoned cars in the street, some of the grills and bumpers were giving off pinky textures also the trees were getting a bluey shine to them, the buildings and characters were fine though.

I checked the machine and power supply and they arnt even slightly warm, and im guessing that its not sposed to be like this as the first couple of levels never had the problem.
Any1 got any ideas???

I just hope they actually investigate the problem and dont just send back our 360's without checking them with a note saying fixed, like I have heard from others :(

That doesnt sound very promising, I bought mine form a Game store in town so will try the swap route before I phone up Microsoft.
And I just recieved Call of Duty 2 todayas well, I hope im not without a 360 for too long "fingers crossed".

Will do mate, I'll be phoning up Game shortly.

Edit: just phoned up Game and they said that there isnt going to be any more in for 2 weeks and there is apparently 30 people on the list.
Surely though as having already paid I should get priority over people who are on pre-order.

I bought it on the 9th of january, do you think I would be able to take it back as a refund and get it elsewhere, My brother who works at a high street store should be able to sort me one out.

Luckily I bought a memory card so I get to keep my save data, which is a good job as I nearly got all plats on PGR3, I decided im going to avoid the Microsoft route and get a refund from Game.
It shouldnt be too long to find another one as there seem to be more places with them coming in stock.

Update:

So I just phoned up Game again and asked if they had any 360's in today, the answer was no, so I said that I was going to bring mine down for a refund, can you guess what there answer was.

"im sorry sir, we dont give refunds on consoles, its store policy" so I kindly asked to speak to the manager but he wasnt there, I have to phoneback in a hour.

I'll be kindly asking him the same thing and see if hes any better trained, if you cant offer an exchange you have to offer a refund, does he thing that he can get away with selling me a dodgy machine for £200+, what made me laugh was the "store policy", why dont I contact trading standards and see what there policy is :)

With training like this you could expect one of there staff to be premoted to a posistion at the purple shirt brigade. :)

Thanks for that link Virii, if the manager tells me the same as the assistant, then I will agree with him and print off as much info about the matter and go and make the pair of them look stupid in front of all there customers. :)

"2nd Update"

Well I just spoke to the manager and he gave me the same line as his assistant, "im sorry but we dont offer exhange on consoles" so I asked him what he suggested.
Phone up Microsoft he told me they will have it exhanged in 48hours, yeah right I said more like 2-3 weeks.

So I told him that I had been researching around trading standards and read off a few paragraphs about consumers rights and hes now said I can have a refund, what a suprise. :)

Gotta give them credit for trying.

And just as I wrote this, I had a phone call back and hes just recieved stock so I can get a replacement this afternoon, did he have the replacements there all along, I'll let you decide. :)

Yeah I agree with that Jkrohn1, The last thing you want is it to fail just after the years warrenty ends, but its like someone said before you only hear bad stories about the 360 and no-one starts a thread saying "my 360 works 100%".
I do believe though that this problem is a little bigger than the 3% Microsoft first disclosed but I would imagine it to be no more than 10%.

Its really just teething problems due to a rushed launch and hopefully the update thats soon to come will sort a lot of the problems out, The more worrying news for me is that apparently the makers of The Godfather have removed all information about it ever coming out on 360 which could mean its been delayed or scrapped.

Oh right, didnt realise that, luckily in the past I havent had anything thats broke on me but I should read up on what my rights are.

Got my 360 exchanged yesterday afternoon and the new one seems to be fine, The manager in Game gave me some rubbish about how he cant send machines back to Microsoft and that they have set up a special contract to get faultys sent straight back from customer to manufacturer.

He assured me it would have been exchanged in 48hours my Microsoft, so I said "well this way I get it exchanged in 2 minutes and left the shop. :) After what some people have said on this forum it takes a lot longer the 48hours. Anyway wish me luck on X360 number 2 :)
