Wierd type of insulation ??

Went up to the attic of the new house and noticed the following instead of the standard rolls of insulation.

Just wondered what is it? Should I just buy a few rolls of the standard stuff to put on top ??

Ah ha that's the stuff. Never heard of it before.

Wouldn't say there's that much of it, so will keep an eye out for more.

looking online, you can send samples to a company for about £25 to test, worth while ?

I'm with scottish power so will give them a call and see what they may offer
