wierd prob... my multiplyer keeps changing itself to 6 taking the speed to 2.7Ghz rather than the 4.3 that it gets when it used 9.5, ive set it as 9.5 in the bios, is this normal? just to keep it safe when not under load? it seems to go up when i open a new file etc, havnt looked at games yet

check if C1E and EIST (or E1ST) is on in the bios

if so intel speedstep is on, assuming you are talking about an intel CPU
