Hi All

I need some help. I have 2 routers running wifi at home connected via DMZ.

The issue I have I have recently got a Asus N55U. it all works but the authentication is different to my SKY router.

Sky Router has
Disable
WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)
WPA2-PSK (AES)
WPA/WPA2-PSK (Mixed Mode)

Asus N55u has

Open System
WPA2-Personal
WPA-Open-Personal
WPA2-Enterprise
WPA-Auto Enterprise

Currently I have Sky set as WPA/WPA2-PSK (Mixed Mode) and N55u set as WPA2-Personal

But I think they conflict each other.

can any one advise what WPA setting I need to set the2 as please

Thanks

Phil

Have you set them both to use different channels? If they are on the same channel and they both use the same name then they will conflict with each other. So for example, set one wifi to channel 1 and the second router to channel 6.

the wifi through the house is poor - 2 routers help spread the Wifi and connect the sky box up.

following a brief guide on the Skyusers forum you can connect 2 routers up to extend the home wifi.

the 2nd router connects to the first by settings the DMZ to be the IP of the main router.

can i put a link to another forum up?

You can set most routers up as access points, that's the best thing to do. Or just buy access points.
