I'm losing my internet connection for a couple of days next week so a friend a couple of doors away has said I can use their connection, unfortunately I can't pick up their network with my crappy card so I'm thinking of getting this to replace it, just wondering if anyone can tell me if I should go for something else or if that's ok for me. I know next to nothing about networking just that my old card barely cuts the mustard for my own router so something with a bit more power is required!

Cant say it will definatly work as far as your neighbours but if you need to upgrade your old sh**ty one then you may aswell try it.

oh and btw can't you do without the tinternet for two days? or are you addicted to pornhub ;)

Right, I ordered that card Thursday evening and it arrived today, but I'm having issues with it :/

The card is basically this one, however their site doesn't say anything about plug 'n' play, and there appears to be no drivers for anything past XP on there let alone x64 anythings...

I'm using Windows 7 and I thought there was an inbuilt driver for generic wireless cards, however whenever I try and install the card all I get is the old driver trying to replace it and all my attempts to remove my old driver have failed, but to make things even more annoying placing my old card back into my system the card is no longer recognised so it appears to driver has been removed somewhat, but not entirely...

So yeah, anyone fancy lending a hand? I have until Monday to get this thing up and running so any and all help appreciated!

Didn't work; I now have my old card and new card in my machine, apparently Windows Updates or where ever it searches doesn't have a driver, so I think I'll give it up as a lost cause. Certainly not plug n play :(
