Wifi-connection issue, any ideas?

I have an iMac and a Macbook Air with the same issue. In the last couple of months when waking up from standby they both initially connect to the wifi (BT Homehub 4.0) and you can use the internet for roughly 30 seconds. Then the wifi disconnects from the internet and I have to manually turn the wifi off on the machines and back on a couple of times before they will reconnect. This will be ok until either machine goes back to sleep and I have to repeat the process. None of my other devices, including iPhones and iPads have this problem, any ideas?

I've had problems. When I wake my 2009 MBP up in the morning, often it won't be connected (will have an exclamation mark through the wifi symbol), or soon after it'll randomly do that. No idea what it is - it's quite quick to turn off the wifi and turn it on again, and that fixes it every time, so I haven't bothered looking into it :o.

I'm the same, until now ;)

This is a pretty common Yosemite issue. Wifi was good as gold in Mavericks, updated to Yosemite and it has been terrible since (the exact same issue you are having + more).

Have you updated to 10.10.4? This has basically fixed it for me, the only problem is sometimes it takes 10-30 seconds to connect after coming out of sleep but after that it's fine.

I don't think it's a home hub specific issue (I also have a home hub) because I use my rMBP on various different networks and had the same problem on all of them.

Cheers for that pal ;)

Yep, had exactly the same problem, the 10.10.4 update solved it for me too. It's sadly a very common problem with Yosemite, thankfully they've fixed it finally. Was resorting to USB ethernet on my MBA at one point :mad:

TBH, I don't understand how a company that only has a support a very small number of hardware configurations can let a problem like this go on for so long! Madness.
