Wifi - Connection v.slow on only one device

Hi,

I received yesterday a Vodafone router after having taken out their Fibre BB.

All devices (inc windows laptop, android tablet and windows phone) are browsing the web just fine, however my Android mobile (Sony XA1) will connect to the wifi but open web pages extremely slowly, e.g 20+ seconds to open BBC news.

I've tried changing wifi channels, just 2.4ghz, just 5ghz but can't seem to improve the performance on the Android mobile.

Any suggestions, driving me nuts.

Right, feel rather stupid - restarted the Android Phone and all seems well now....literally been messing around with this for hours.

Just ran a speed test on the phone, 30mbps now, was getting less than 1mbps before, laptop getting 20mbps suspect because its on 2.4ghz

So, a couple of weeks on and still having issues with just the XA1 mobile, every couple of hours the WiFi just refuses to respond but shows as connected, have to restart the phone to get the WiFi to work again proplery.

All other devices are fine....any ideas?

Sounds like either a software bug or interference issue. Though as you've tried 5 GHz more software. Best you can do is report it as a bug to Sony, or/and do a software reset
