WiFi extender Recommendations

As my SKY wifi is beyond crap and i'd cancel if i could what would you recommend to boost/extend the signal?? I have some homeplugs but no wifi on them, could so ething be added?

Also, anyone know why i can watch a 2gb program which DL's as you watch and may only last 35mins, but to download a 2gb file to my PC which uses ethernet can take 3-4hours, seriously ****!

When you say Ethernet do you mean via Powerline (homeplug)?

No, via a 15m ethernet cable

Download speeds start off ok but then diminish very quick, slowing to a crawl

i imagine your streaming the program using sky and your downloading the file using torrents?

well when your streaming your doing so from 1 connection. so 1 connection you and the streaming server.

when your torrenting your connecting to hundreds of different people. this is overloading your router. you need to minimise connections.

the better your router the more connections it can handle. if your using the standard sky hub that is your issue. buy a decent router or minimise connections
