Wifi extension

Ok so I use powerline adapters for my pc/xbox/ps3 in my bedroom as the wifi doesnt reach that far. But I would like my tablet and my phone to use wifi in my room.

So, if I get a wireless dongle for my PC, will Win7 Home Premium let me create a wifi network with it, and bridge it with the home network. With my wifi router doing the DHCP?

The noname cheap eBay wireless dongle that I bought 3 years ago allowed me to do that but I couldn't say about other ones. Check the specification of the adapters, it should say whether it supports softAP.
