Urgent help needed.

Have a laptop that i connect to the internet and shared files via wifi. I have now lost my wifi signal, all i can pick up is other peoples signal.

I have played around with the wifi settings on the router but can't seen to get a signal.

I has been working fine for about a year, however very few weeks i would lose the signal for a day or two and then it would return. This time it's been about 2 weeks now and no sign of it return.

The router is a dlink g406t, it is wired to my main computers and that is working fine.

Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers

Change the channel to something different but at the higher end of the spectrum. Make sure you use the same one on the laptop and router.

Also try power cycling the router.

I have tried changing the channels but still no luck, and i checked the firmware and it has the lastest according to the Dlink website.

I tried to get a signal on my PDA and it just says that the network is not available.

I am starting to think that maybe my router is screwed and is not broadcasting a signal, as i can't even get a weak signal.

Thanks for the advise so far.
