Hi guys

I am trying to sort out my sister's laptop with regard to connecting to internet. Here are the crucial details:

HP Pavilion G6 laptop
Windows 8 OS
Virgin Media 100MB Broadband ISP
ASUS RT-N66U router

In the device manager, underneath Network Adapters it shows the following info:

Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter
Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

The laptop was connecting to internet fine until few weeks ago as wifi connection. It recognises the ASUS and other ISPs nearby. However when we key in the network key for ASUS router manually, it fails to connect.

The connection is fine when using the ethernet cable. Just recently laptop has been sent to HP for checking and on the report it stated that wifi card has been replaced and that on their end laptop is fine. They have asked us to contact Virgin to sort out the issue. I have even disabled Kernel Debug adapter and it didn't make any difference.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks
