I need a WiFi LUX smart sensor for outdoor use, i can put it under a roof so indoor at a push.
Rechargeable preferably not battery.
Part of the tuya system.

I'm struggling to find anything.

Preferably sold by rainforest or EU stock retailers. UK retailer also very good.

A motion sensor with light sensor will be ok if I can render the motion part useless/off.

It's to control the on off of all my outdoor lighting, coming on when required at dusk and off at dawn.

If I used the wrong words please correct me to point me at the right products

What ecosystem do you use? Most let you trigger on sunrise / sunset, with a time offset.
I’ve also not seen any WiFi sensors, only zigbee. I have a few motion sensors that also do lux

Most motion sensors have light sensors built in. Can’t recall seeing one that hasn’t. Most cheap WiFi motion sensors are Tuya or Tuya based so will fulfil your requirements. The only thing I’ll say is that WiFi sensors have abominable battery life. If you can, move to Zigbee

All my lights are HUE except a set of tuya compatible smart plugs and 5 e27 bulbs that is used for Xmas lights and my driveway lighting.

It's an odd missmatch but it's working fine.
I can set up the sunset/daylight routine that's a good idea, but if easier I'd prefer a simple sensor to do it all locally.

Tuya stuff seems to work together no Matter what.

Worst case scenario I'll swap to ZigBee stuff on the hue hub, probably need a 2nd hub soon :/

Indeed i got a temp sensor for the greenhouse, eats 2 batteries a week, i have up on it.

If you’ve already got Hue then just get the Hue outdoor motion sensor. The battery life is measured in years - I know as I’ve got one. It measures the lux rating too as I use that to turn on my own lights when it gets too dark.

Edit: I think I’ve replaced the battery twice in five years. It’s used as a motion sensor too and covers the neighbourhood so gets activated often.

Any ZigBee smart plug will pair with a hue hub right?

It might just be easier/something to consider.

In dumb terms is it a range extender for a ZigBee hub?

It's its own "hub", i.e. you wouldn't need the Hue bridge anymore. Pair it up with Home Assistant and connect pretty much any zigbee device.

This one is quite popular because it supports USB charging as well as POE, has excellent range capabilities and high device limits.

Oh god that's a lot to set up lol

I've bought myself 4 ZigBee plugs and a hue motion sensor.
I got about 20 old hue bulbs I'll dig em out replace these tuya ones and have a fiddle before I go full redos....

I'll keep this in mind for the future :p

Not that I’m aware of. I think only Hue and Innr smart plugs are compatible with the Hue hub.

Only look at the SMLight zigbee router if you’re using something like Home Assistant. That’s a rough road compared to expanding your Hue network
