I would like to upgrade my current router and WiFi mesh system to WiFi 7.

Can anyone recommend a suitable system which includes an ethernet port on each mesh device (I hardwire my PoE CCTV into these).

It’s an older property with thick walls, so really hoping WiFi 7 will be a good upgrade for me.

Budget is up to £300 or so.

Thank you.

Would you say the UDR7 with two U7 Pro access points would work well?

I could run an ethernet from the UDR7 to one of the U7 Pro’s. Are you saying I should not mesh them if doing this, as it would use WiFi instead of ethernet?

What are you using now?
Wifi 7 wouldn't necessarily be an upgrade
When it comes to penetration of brick walls
Yes wifi 7 has more bandwidth
But the higher the frequency the less penetration
So if the only reason for upgrading is better penetration
Of brick walls you may be disapointed

If you're unable to run ethernet everywhere
I would consider routers with removable antennas
And upgrade the antennas
I used to live in a Victorian property
And using better/higher gain antennas worked well for me

Only way around thick walls is to have more devices (access points, nodes, etc). WiFi transmit power is still the same regardless. WiFi7 is nice for the ability to be on multiple bands simultaneously. I've just upgraded my Zyxel APs to WiFi7.
