WIFI Password not working

OK odd problem. I've bought a new laptop and I can't connect it via WIFI. the password is correct I've checked it 5 times and its still saying incorrect password.

I've tried the same wifi password on other computers and it works but its not working on my laptop?

Input language / Keymap set correctly if entering any special characters?

Nope no special characters its just numbers and letters. I've even typed it out in note pad to make sure everything was typed out correctly then copied and pasted it but still no joy.

The "incorrect password" is probably a misnomer then - have a double check through the wireless settings in device manager, and double check everything is set as you'd expect - as sometimes either backwards compatible modes are turned on when they don't need to be, or newer modes like AX don't play well with older AC (or earlier) access points

Thanks, I can't find wireless settings in device manager. How do I get that up?

Ok I found it but I don't have the same options. I just set it as auto detect, wait for link.

I think I might have WPS on the router.
