I have a net gear router at the far away point of my living room and can pick up the signal in the bedroom although it's a bit flakey.

Is there a way to extend the range somehow? Ie, to put a booster in the hallway (does such a thing exist?)

Cheers

You can get wireless powerline adapters but the ones OCUK sell are out of stock. The normal power line adapters you will need to have an ethernet cable permanently connected to whatever wireless device you will be connecting it to.

Powerline adapters are a bit flakey if your wiring isn't great ? i bought one of the latest netgear range extenders.. they seem pretty good

Old routers can act as great access points. I use my old Netgear as an access point for my room which is the opposite side of the house.

Also power lines are good. I've never had a problem with mine but the run around the "ring" that electricity flows. If you wiring isn't great, you could see allot of packets being lost.

Best of Luck
