¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have an old wifi router, that is gathering dust. If it possible to use it as a repeater so I can get a get a better signal down one end of the house?

not unless it supports being setup like a repeater which most wireless routers do not..
Ok, I might be better off with some higher gain aerials when... I do have a WAG54G v1.2 which I might have a play with later on, as there is some homebrew firmware that might help. :)

If that router can run DD-WRT you'd be set. That should make it a snap to setit up as a wireless bridge. Expect to see a bit of lag going through the bridge though.

DD-WRT is the bomb. :)

EDIT: Apparently I was wrong. It doesn't look like it can run DD-WRT.

Thanks.... I was going to give DD-WRT a go but at the moment this router is acting weird... I think it's dead. I thought DD-WRT did work with the WAG54G's?

When I plug it in and power it on, just the red power light glows. When I plug in the Ethernet cable, my computer still think nothing is connected. My guess is someone has uploaded the wrong firmware to it and killed it. Shame.

Also, if it adds lag, I'm gonna try and go for the better antenna option. :) I could probably build one myself, and I've got a wok spare somewhere. :D

EDIT: I've fixed the router, but you were right billy, I cannot run DD-WRT. It works on every version of the WAG54G apart from mine... the v1.2 :(
