Dilemma:
Playing PS3 in the lounge online with some mates but we want to use skype for our chatting and not the PS3 chat functinality.
Current solution:
A really crappy work laptop that I have installed Skype on and using a USB powered headset. It's crap tho, because the USB ports are flakey and if it comes unplugged, the lappy will not recognise the headset again until I reboot.
What I'd like:
A Wifi Skype phone that I can use, completely independant of a PC
BUT...
what I really want is one that also allows/caters for a headset use, whether it's wired or wireless.
Now, I've seen plenty of wifi skype phones, ranging from £60 to £190 on the webbernets but none of them suggest any sort of headset unit option. As great at the wifi units look, they really are handsets or speakerphones. I want the same 'always' on but using a headset. Obviously one option is a better laptop or even something like an Acer Revo unit. But I really dont need another PC. Just wanted a Skype wifi device with headset, wired or wireless.
Any of you hardware boffins aware of anything that fits my needs?
