I've currently have a pair of Creative T20 speakers. 14 RMS per side. Love 'em to bits.
I'm now looking for recommendations for a set of wireless 2.0 speakers. If they're marketed as Spotify speakers, then will they only work with Spotify or will they work with any computer that has a wifi connection? How does Microsoft Windows recognise the speakers when the headphone jack (obviously) isn't in use? What will they show up as in the Windows mixer? I write my own music and do some DJing, so half of my music playback is done in the good ol' Winamp and the commercial music is via Spotify.
Requirements: They don't have to be battery powered. I'd rather sacrifice portability for a bit of uumph, perhaps 30 to 50 RMS and buy 2 of them. Presumably 2 of them can be paired with a wifi network?
Are there any considerations to make regarding hacking? You hear about these wifi baby monitors that have been compromised and they can output audio that the attackers deems appropriate for their agenda.
I believe what we're dealing with here is the so-called Internet of Things? That's the buzzword that Rory Cellan-Jones from the BBC propaganda machine absolutely loves lol
