Can anybody recommend a device that has an ethernet port on it that I can connect a computer to and then the device itself connects to the Wifi Network. So the PC sees its connection as cabled, but uses the Wifi. There are so many options out there, so I thought I'd see if anyone who uses one and is happy with it can recommend it.

What Wifi Router (or AP) will it be connecting to?

Pointless spending more on e.g. a Wifi6E Range Extender if you only have a router with AC1200 wifi.

That being said, the appropriate TP-Link Range Extender should do what you want

I have 2 Linksys Wifi6 Atlas Pro in a Mesh, one up and one down. I could get a wifi card for the PC but thought it better to get an extender of some kind, that way I can connect a switch to it to allow the PC and a POE phone to use it.

You could get another Atlas Pro node and use the ethernet ports on that, they seem reasonably cheap used

Honestly, I wasn't looking to spend that much. I've found an AC1500 one that looks like it will do the job for £27. It's made by Tenda but will come from elsewhere so can see how it is for 30 days and send back if it proves to be a bit poo.

Apologies.

The Tenda box should do the trick. They're stable, but they're not very fast. You'll likely never see the speeds they advertise.

I had a friend who used those for his wifi mesh, and even on the one connected direct to the router, he was only seeing a 1/4 of the advertised speed. Absolutely fine for him whilst his internet connection was slower than his lan anyway, but if you've got a decent connection, then just know that these will disappoint.

edit - Can't read - glad it's doing the trick :)

So, started using the Tenda in anger. The speeds I get are fine (450/400) on it so that's not an issue, but it drops packets about one solid one every 30 seconds. Not an issue for most things but I work in Telecoms and do a lot of live calls/meetings and it is so noticeable when in them. I've therefore looked again at the options and have found a Linksys VLP0101-UK for only a tenner more. Better brand and it also should link to my existing Mesh setup and should be delivered before the return window shuts for the Tenda.
