Hey guys,
I'm on the hunt for a new router. At the moment I'm just using the supplied fiber talk talk hg633. It doesn't have QoS so I'm noticing some ping spikes and network warnings while in game.
I have an old DGND4000 Netgear router from a few years ago which does have QoS.
DSL reports showed the Netgear using QoS as an A for bufferbloat, while the talk talk shows as a C or B. Problem is the Netgear doesn't support IGMP, so it doesn't work with my TV boosts. Also I bricked it by accident last night so there's that.
So I'm looking for a good, cost effective - hopefully around 100 or less - VDSL WiFi router, that has great QoS, IGMP support and any other features helpful for gaming.
My network speeds are:
DL: 75MB avg
UP: 20MB avg
I was looking at the tplink Archer c7, C8 or c9 but I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kieran
