Hi, router noob here; I'm using a TP link AC1200 router and it works great for me (can get the 5ghz signal fully on my pc) but there's something that puzzles me. There appears to be zones I can choose my connection from, one is Wifi and the other is Wifi 3.

Wifi seems to only have my 2.4 and 5 signals (so my personal ones) and Wifi 3 has mine and everyone elses (so public?). Here's a picture:

The questions therefore are,

1. Why does this even exist?
2. Am I missing out, using Wifi 3 instead of Wifi (even though the signal is stronger)
3. Is this normal on a router?

Ah that could be the case - I've got a posh Asus one that I bought to go with the router, do you think my motherboard has on board wifi activated too? Would this hurt perforamce? And do you think this is why one is better than the other (IE, the Asus is more capable)?

Thanks Orc.
