Hi.
Got my Wii this evening. Excellent, very impressed.
I just wondered one thing, is it just me, or does setting it to 480i/60hz look awful? Looks terrible on my telly for some reason, but 576i/50hz looks very crisp.
Also, has anyone else noticed the frame rate problem with GC games? Or is that just me because its set to 50hz and not the 60hz i play my GC at?

I take it that when my component cable comes along that i'll get the best of both worlds? Crisp & smooth?

Thanks in advance all. :)

I think it's down to the telly tbh. I play mine on the downstairs 28" CRT till my component cables arrive (32" HDCRT in the bedroom lol). Play at 480i/60hz and it's crisp and smooth. Not played a GC game through the Wii yet though.

Yes its down to the telly, Kreee and others comments arnt really helpful, decent Tvs can do a very good Composite nowadays, my colours via composite are identical to component.

I tryed MarioSunshine on my Wii@50hz and as before, its not exactely smooth.
Then i tryed it on my GC@50hz, the same. But 60hz on the GC is smooth. So i think it pretty much is just the difference between 50&60hz. Should be fine when my component cable comes through then. :)
Hopefully. :p
