has anyone heard of a way for people to download the classic games on 56k? Unfortantly i cant get broadband in my area and am just out of reach!

Currently I think you'd have to use either a stand-alone modem or a computer with internet sharing enabled. You'd then attach it to a wireless router and the Wii would connect to the router. I hear there is an Ethernet kit coming soon too. That would eliminate the need for a wireless router.

haha no, 150 metres down the road people can get broadband, where i live, nothing! had it all installed etc and it just wouldnt pick up a signal

Well, if you've got a wireless AP hooked-up to a PC that is connected via dial-up, I don't see why it shouldn't work. I believe the Wii just connects to the wireless AP, rather than establishing any connection itself.

Saying that, I've not yet tried it, so I wouldn't know for sure.

could have a crack at that, or use my laptops wireless to setup an adhoc network and bodge it like that.

ah god knows if worse comes to worse i will bring it to work with me to download games/content

trust me i went from 2 meg to this, im lost! however im only 2.8km away from the exchange? doesnt make sense to me but they say i cant get it so :(
