Wii Black and white display?

Finally got me hands on a wii, plugged it all in and no colour

just black and white display no matter what i do.
I have it set to 60hz which my tv supports so it's not that all i can think of it's the wrong cable? i have it plugged in the front av's of my tv like it says in the manual the only trouble is that is says plug the yellow, white and red leads in but my lead has green and blue connects that mean it's the wrong lead?
It's set to the reight tv and country in the wii menu i hope its something simple like a lead and not a duff console.

green n blue mean its component, red yellow white is composite

Ahh so it's wrong cable to plug in front av? great my tv hasn't got a component socket

composite cables can probably be picked up cheap, ask on the MM someone might have a redundant one

Is the Wii brand new? If it's second-hand, presumably the person you've bought it off would have the composite cables (3 connectors) as they come as standard with the Wii. If you've got component cables (5 connectors) with a brand-new Wii that would be extremely odd.

I brought it from ebay it's all sorted now i phoned my mate and he got his plugged into his plasma with componet so i grabbed his composite lead
