Hate to do it but time to sell the wii. Only played it for 4 hours since Xmas and there is no games I am looking forward to :( apart from RE

Any idea how much it will auction for? Wii 1 controller and Zelda/sports

It will be getting replaced by a 360. Can core be used as a media Extender? Or do I need the prem with hard drive for that?

As for the media extender, I think you have to download something to the 360 when you set it up, so I'm not sure if that goes onto the HDD or some sort of internal memory.

If you're just streaming to the dashboard rather than via Media Centre, then you might not need the HDD.
 
Media center is internal, you won't need to clog the HDD up with additional programs and such. You simply follow onscreen instructions for both media centers on 360 and PC, and then they're hooked up. It's simple stuff like copying the code the PC's MC gives you to put on your 360, then they recognize each other.

*edit: I don't know if you need a HDD for it.

Your getting rid of a wii for those games :confused:


If you get a 360 I would recommend Dead rising, Call of Duty 3 and Ghost recon and ive heard good this about vegas as well.

I'd say 2 of the are the best games out on the 360 (Gow & PES) and the other has potential to be a fantastic game (Forza) I'd jump at the chance of replacing a Wii with them.

id agree with GoW but not PES good games for me have to be original

thats why i dont like it i can go down the park n play football i cant go down the park and start blowing people up with shotguns and the like
 
Never really like the GOW the single player a bit predictable and there are better multi player games on the 360 like COD3 and GRAW.

no ill play them but as i said they arent great and i personally would not regard them as great games unless they bring something special to the table
 
To answer the original question, I guess you'll get about what you paid for it, you probably won't lose anything. Stock availability seems to be considerably better for the past couple of weeks... it's still selling out but the websites I've seen are getting shipments much more frequently than before. As such, I don't think you'll make a decent profit, but I guess as long as you break even you won't be that bothered. If profiteering had been your intention, I'm guessing you'd have flogged it shortly after xmas when demand and prices paid were still high.

Just have a look at completed auctions on a well known site to gauge the level of interest/prices people are still prepared to pay - obviously mathcing similar deals to what you'll be offering, same game, boxed, receipt, etc...

Then why are you getting rid of you Wii? its the main console that has the potential to bring something new to the table...
