Howdy,

Can;t find this mentioned anywhere, I know the main reason for the Wii Classic Controller is the VC games for the wii, but does it work with GC games too?

My wii is too far away from me, and the short cable on my GC pad isn't good enough, so plugging the Wii Classic Controller into the wireless remote will work a treat?

Any ideas?

p.s. Are these readily available now? Or are they another screw up on Nintendo's part and no stock of them ANYWHERE?

The only peripherals that work with the Gamecube on the Wii are Gamecube peripherals ie:

GC pads, Wavebirds, Bongos, steering wheels etc. No Wii peripherals work with the Gamecube.

You'd be better off getting a Wavebird instead of a Classic controller as GC pads will work for all VC games AFAIK. I think you could probably buy a Wavebird for the same cost of the Classic controller anyway!

Ah cool, I've never heard of the wavebird, but its simply a wireless gc pad right? And its official too isn't it?

If so thats even better than the Classic controller.
