Wii component cables and GC

A quick question to owners of both consoles :

Can you use the the wii component cables on your GC. These cables for the GC are rarer than hen's teeth !!

You can't the connector is different.

I might be sticking my GC component cable on ebay soon as I lent my GC to my brother a year ago and he doesn't seem to have it anymore, so I am left with the cable and some games (at least I can play them on the Wii, shame he also seems to of made Resident Evil 4 and some other decent games dissapear along with the console )

Well after several fruitless searches round the games shops in Bristol the general word is - "Nintendo didn't send them to anyone"
Even 3rd party items like Madcatz which was available in very limited quantity on release date are not to be found either.

I may see if I can pick one up in the USA next week while on holiday, or alternatively you can make your own with a little soldering.

Nope.
They use different connectors afaik.

Component cables for GC are only available through import unfortunatelly. Well worth it though imo.
