Wii display problem

I have just got a wii today and also a snakebyte component cable to go with it but i can only get a black and white image when using it although i can get colour when using the supplied cables the pic is not so good.

Anyone know why this might be? i'm running it on a Sharp 32GD9E - thanks for any help.
 
I only read good reviews about this cable and it cost slightly more than the official cable (that was out of stock at the time), do you really think it could just be a rubbish cable? the picture looks nice and sharp although it is black and white :( .

This is what i have to plug it into, i have the red and white left and right audio in and in video i have the green connector..is this right?.
 
LOL thanks for that! I had a feeling it was wrong :p , so what am i best using with the wii to get a better picture? - using a sharp 32GD9E thanks.

The quality with the cable supplied is blurry and i would like a clearer pic.
