Wii games?

The only thing that is keeping the console from being boring is the VC games, cant wait till they release street fighter, streets of rage, mario kart 64 etc.

Although this Trauma Centre game looks allright, is it deffo out this Friday? anyone know where i can find an indepth review about it and what you actually do. Might buy WarioWare, dunno yet.

Hmm seems that Trauma Centre isnt coming out till Feb :(

this is what I mean nothing I want to play. When the GC came out I bought it with Luigi, starwars and monkey ball more than enough to keep me busy but this time round I'm scratching around left wanting. Think I might get Wii play

The problem with the recent Ninty consoles is that 3rd party developers bring out average games, which arn't going to stand a chance against Zelda or Mario, and then wonder why their products arn't selling...

Most Wii owners I would assume are going to wait for the AAA titles rather than go for the average games. I hope 3rd party support doesn't drop for it too soon...

I don't own any 'new' console, by the way.

I've got 6 Wii games: Sports, Play, Zelda, CoD3, Rayman and Need For Speed Carbon. All of them I've really enjoyed playing, with Zelda being a clear standout title. The others are still pretty decent.

Need For Speed has took a hammering lately, and I've got quite far on CoD3. Sports and Rayman have also been played a reasonable amount (well, I've nearly completed Rayman) but more so when the missus wants to play. I've/we've gave my Wii at least 2/3 hours a day solid since release. I think there's been only 1 or 2 days it's not been on.

Will look to pick up Super Monkey Ball and Red Steel on the cheap, and hopefully Wario Ware and Trauma Centre, which should keep me going till MP3/SSBB/SMG/ET land. That, and about 10 VC titles scheduled for release this month.

And DS games this month (and import too)... Christ, no wonder I've neglected my teaching portfolio!

I liked Red Steel, especially 4 player. It felt very goldeneye.

ah, thats probably why i didn't like it. I didn't get to try it MP (only one controller) is there co-op of any sort? actually would that even be possible for FPS on wii? other than light gun style games.

Think i'll just wait for the virtual console releases then. Can see some Mario Kart and Street Fighter loving going on. Wish they'd release the online stuff too, would like to play friends and family at games online.

Personally i think the controls on Red Steel are terrible, they would have been better if you controlled the centre point on the screen much more like a mouse, that would make the game flow/control soooooo much better.

if you want clasics right now just go buy an old gen game. I know you havent played all the greats from the last gen.. I know it!

I dont think trauma centre is out on friday. I have it down for the 26th of July.

The wii line up looks great in the next 6 months
mario strikers
trauma centre
final fantasy crystal chronicles
prince of persia
super mario galaxy
elebits
big brain academy
super smash brothers
batallion wars 2
Metal slug
mario party 8
metroid prime 3
excite truck

and of course warioware, I think thats more than enough good games so quickly.

Coop FPS is easily possible on a Wii, same as you can have 4 player split screen...

There is no coop on Red Steel though.

I really like the control scheme 4, which is like a pedal on the Wiimote, analogue steering on the nunchuck with the nunchuk up as e-brake. Graphically, you'll be disappointed as I remember NFSU2 looking the nuts on PC. This isn't as good unfortunately (still passable though, don't get me wrong).

I'd like to see some more developed sports games like boxing and golf. EA are bringing tiger woods out at some point a boxing game would be sweet.

Resident evil please.

Sorry mate as far as we can tell, RE5 is gonna be a graphical show case and only for the 360 and PS3. It will prolly not be converted to the Wii as it would probably have to be built from the ground up.

Still stranger things have happened.

I doubt that the Wii will see Resi 5, however, I'm betting that there wil be a Wii exclusive Resident Evil game eventually.
The Wii is going to suffer from there being less games available than for the PS3 on 360 for the reason stated above, games will have to be specifically written for it. This IMO is a good thing, people may utilise the control method properly if they aren't just porting a game across.

I feel exactly the same except I dont have wii play. Plenty to keep me busy untill some great titles come out!

Every launch is a but low on games, but they will come. I love my wii, best fun I have had on a console for a very long time. Zeld NFS and wii sports will keep me entertained for a long while yet!

They're all good games, just nothing, bar Zelda, that is amazing. But then, all of the 360's launch titles were good, but had nothing amazing either. It does take a while for true AAA titles to roll out (which Zelda arguably is...)

I'm never stuck for a game of something on my Wii, although I'm far more casual about my gaming - I can only really give 2 hours a day to it, if I'm lucky. But then I have a 16 month old daughter and teacher training to do...

/edit: Resident Evil is coming to the Wii, as has been mentioned. Plenty of artists impressions. It's supposed to be a game that ties up much of the series, and fills the gaps.

/edit 2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Evil:_Umbrella_Chronicles

I'm thinking of a Resident Evil 4/House of the Dead 4 crossbreed... with a shotgun attachment :D
