wii help :(

Just bought a wii and got it all set up.......but got a problem! When i go into disc and say start it just goes back to the wii menu! Its driving me crazy

CAn anyone help?

pressing A - managed to get wii sport to work but now cant get into the another game

Lol i did all the right things, i may be female but i have some brains (or so i like to think!) but turns out after two hours of trying and trying it was a faulty console! Bought it brand new so off i went this morning and got it exchanged for a shiney new one! Had lots of fun with it tonight
