Hi Guys,

My wife just ordered me a Wii for xmas, what do you think my chances are of getting it before xmas? slim or no chance?

Personally I think it depends on the shop.

I only pre-ordered from a high street shop on 23rd Nov. And got a call on 7th Dec saying I could collect one on launch day.

I was in the "2nd phase" of the pre-order, so originally they had said they couldn't tell me when I'd get one.

But it turned out, that the particular shop I ordered from said they got their 1st batch delivered, then the 2nd batch delivered the next day! One of which had my name on it :)

If it's just a deposit you have to pay, then I'd recommend you make a couple of orders. You could always cancel at last minute. Or return it unboxed if you get two at same time.

I think they are practically Zero however I wish you all the best of luck.
 
The reports I have heard are:

deliveries Wednesday
" next week
" not till after Christmas
" we haven't even got our pre-orders in yet (grumble)
we only got half our UK allocation from Nintendo x 2
 
A friend of mine pre-ordered one from an e-tailer and they messed up his order and told him that he "would definitely see it before Christmas." He managed to get one in a supermarket, cheaper and with zero hassle, on Friday afternoon and cancelled his pre-order with said e-tailer.

I think ordering one you have no chance of seeing it before Christmas, especially if you didn't pre-order it months ago, but if you look around hard enough you can walk out of a shop with one.

Definately, There were 2 in a local shop here, I wanted to buy them and walk out and make some money reselling them.

BUT.

1. Thats cruel.

2. I have no money .
