Nintendo try to get a mature game on the platform and it gets banned.

SCi were forced to release it with Zombies, but they eventually got the ban on using real people lifted after winning a high court case against BBFC. Hence why it was later available with real people. I had the real version. :p
Game was completely banned in France, Australia and Brazil and still is.

Should have been banned just for crapness imo...

But really I havent played manhunt or 2 so I dont know... But hitman definitley offers alternatives, as mentioned stealing others clothes, not killing civillians, use of non leathal force and stealth. Hitman is not about indescriminate killing or killing for the pleasure of it. Not that I like hitman games.

thought exactly the same myself.

when someone convinced me Manhunt was worth playing and lent me his copy I was left trying to understand why anyone would genuinely want to play that sort of trash.

Carmageddon, GTA etc are actually fun games. I can't remember that much about Manhunt now I think about it but I seem to remember it involved me trying to slit peoples throats and suffocate them as much as possible... and not much else.

never been one for banning games. i've certainly never really understood the violent games==violence mentality. so i don't really care if people want to play this game, I just thought it sucked :D
 
I wasn't too interested in this game before because that level of un-motivated violence is not something in really into, at least Manhunt 1 tried to have a story to justify it.

BUT now that it has been rejected/banned here I will try to get hold of a copy for collectors purposes. ;)
Lucky for me my gf is Finnish and their laws are pretty relaxed as regards ratings, she has already said her sister will pick it up for me and send over a copy. :D
 
Our Wii is from Finland and Wiisport is in english, the console is also set to english region so all works fine.
Most stuff is be english language with optional subtitles, plus I have my own in house translator :) if there is voice acting it wont be redone in Suomi as a lot of the people there learn english in school.
