Well, I managed to pick up a Wii from a high street store on Saturday, along with Play, Component cable and Zelda.

This is my first ever console and feels very strange playing games in the living room on the big tv. Having to stand and wave my arms around like someone stranded on a desert island trying to flag a passing plane has freaked the cat out! (My 2 year old daughter doesn’t know about it yet and she won’t until she is at least 5!!)

My wife and I are loving Wii Sports especially the bowling although tennis has us laughing like giddy teenagers (I’m 38 and my wife is 35!). I know you only need to use small movements to get the action to work but it doesn’t feel right. I have to take a step or two and swing my arm when bowling; I can’t do it just by twitching my wrist!! When playing tennis, we have to stand at least 3 feet apart!

I sampled Zelda last night for about 15 minutes but got frustrated trying to leap the darned horse over the fences so I turned it off and went to bed. It may take me a while to get into this game before I enjoy it. The control system feels abit alien to me at the moment.

I’ve no idea what the games are on virtual console and probably won’t bother – unless of course someone on here tells me otherwise!

Can anyone recommend a good multiplayer game? – don’t really care about the genre but just want to play against others when the wife is not around.
Also are there any co-op games out for two (or more) players?

Is it worth buying a second nunchuk? The only game I have that would use it is boxing but don’t really want to spend another £15 just for that.

Had a couple of thoughts about what games I would like to see:

Star Wars – light sabre goodness with the swish and the slurp effect of the on/off! Even cooler if Nintendo or a third-party would create a Light Sabre remote with suitable coloured blades!

Basket Ball – patting the remote up and down for dribbles etc – fun but would need lots of room.

That’s, it. Apart from a couple of questions, a rather pointless thread!!

Thanks for listening! :D

definitely get another nunchuck, as for multi player games. Rayman raving rabbits is fun, and wario smooth moves is also fun (only 1 wiimote needed).

VERY LUCKY and good choice of extras

Very wise! :)

I do exactly the same, I play the games like I'm actually playing them

People are regarding this game as the best single-player game on the console so far (Although it is only in its infancy). Still worth giving this a proper bash when you have a fair few hours to spare

If you've seriously NEVER owned a console then anything mario on the VC will be worth a look for you but because you're likely to be a graphics whore (Spoiling yourself with a wii as your first console) then Super mario 64 should appeal.

Not too sure about this but Marvel Ultimate Alliance is supposed to be good for 2+ people and all participants need a nunchuck....
