Wii on a monitor

Just wondering if anybody is aware if anything can be done.

Basically I play the wii on my monitor, no tv in my room, and the monitor is 16:10 while the Wii is either 16:9 or 4:3.
I have recently upgraded to component allowing a massive 480p....
But still it needs to be stretched or squashed, which I think is part of the reason of getting bad jaggies.

But what I am wondering is if anybody is aware of maybe a mod type thing allowing (most likely) black bars top and bottom of monitor.
Monitor is a dell 2408wfp.

Guessing it is a big fat NO, but you don't know till you ask.

I know emulator talk is a bit of a grey area on the forums, but if you own the games then you could have a look at the wii dolphin emulator which I think will run the games emulated at 16:10

cann't you set wide mode to aspect while using the component inputs?

I'm not sure kotu, will need to look into it. Do you mean a setting on the monitor?

Remembered today.

Aspect changes it to 4:3 ratio even when set as widescreen. But with two players on a 24inch screen may just feel a tad small.
