Wii problem ?

there is no way a 7 year old could do that without trying very hard and not having the strap on at all! you would have to throw it so hard to smash the TV, never mind break the strap.

If it is true, I can only imagine people are playing with the wiimote dangling free as they lash their arms about.

But no one would be that stupid.... would they.... ?
:)

I can see a little kid swinging the wiimote around their arm (in a hoola hoop type action around their wrist) waiting for their turn, if the strap broke there would probably be enough force to break a TV. I honestly don't see how it could happen while playing the game normally.

course they could just hold it properly in the first place. Now dobt they were flailing there arms around like a boom batty and werent holding it very well.

Clearly nintendo forgot about the "stupid as a brick" factor when dealing with the good old general public :D

For some reason I have a picture of the star wars kid with a wii in my head when reading that, can just imagine him with one :)

What do you expect when you get either people with no natural co-ordination (sheeple) or people who sit on their arses all day doing little more than twiddling their thumbs? :p

As for the TVs getting broken... I doubt it, personally it looks like they smashed a TV they don't want and thought it would be funny to make the story up... :D

You'd have to throw the Wiimote pretty damn hard to smash a TV (can't speak for LCD TVS but my CRT wouldn't come off 2nd best I can tell you that... ;)) aswell as the wrist strap in the same throw.

I'm sure that it's possible, I just don't buy it this time round, some one over on the Gamespot forums had to lob a remote control similar in weight to the Wii at his old LCD screen as hard as he could a bunch of times to make it crack.
