Hi,

I've borrowed a Wii from a mate over the hols but for the life of me I find it extremely difficult to use.

well its esy enough once i find the hand bu t it takes me absolutely ages to find the hand on the screen. i spend about 10-15 mins trying to get it to come on the screen after a lot of waving and pirrouetting . And even then it seems to be off centre (not even pointing at the wii) and just strange. Is there an easy way just to bring the hand on the screen? of even calibrate it against my screen?

/runs to google

/checks box of bits

/plugs in aforementioned item

/smacks head against wall

/vows to rtfm next time (even though it wasn't there!)

:p

In short, thanks. How come I sort of got it working without the bar beforehand?

The 'hand' works by infra-red, if there is any heat source in it's field of use then it'd have a go at using that. You can even use two candles on top of the TV*

*disclaimer. If any idea tries this and burns their house down it's not my fault, they are just idiots :D

Actually that might be why it worked last time, there was a candle on near the tv!
