This has been getting a lot of playtime in my flat. It's got to the stage where a 'powerserve' is pretty much guaranteed every serve. However, if you fail to get one it's very easy for your opponent to snap their wrist in such a way that the ball flies off the edge/corner of the court in a way which makes the ball (apparently) impossible to reach. In fact we've reached a point where if you don't powerserve you're pretty much automatically lost the point.

My question is if it's possible to reach these 'cross-court' returns? When you play the AI it seems capable of getting to them. Any other tennis tips or tricks to give me the upper hand? :p

I know exactly what you mean and you're stuffed, basically. Either agree with your opponent to do simple underhand returns, or get that powerserve perfected ;)

I know what you mean! Even with Wii Bowling it's got to the point where we don't even get up off the chair to bowl properly and get strikes nearly eveytime with a short sharp flick of the rist!

Yeh really annoys me when people play that crap cross court shot which you can't reach. Spoils the game a bit. Had a game with a mate last night and thats all he did.
