Hey guys, I want to hook my Wii up to my monitor, however the only connection it has is VGA, and I don't think there will be a Wii VGA adaptor released at launch. Does anyone know a way I can get around this?

Get an RGB Scart to VGA convertor, can give really good results (I use one with a Gamecube) but good ones aren't cheap.

Dont be daft... Get a Component to VGA lead.. cheap as chips and You'll get a perfect picture.

Cheap as chips? So far I have only managed to find a Component to VGA adapter for £40 and surely you would need to buy the Nintendo component cable for the Wii first???

It doesn't have component out! You need the component cable to output to component.

Yes, a perfect picture saying 'no input detected'

Such leads only work if the display specifically accepts a component signal through the VGA port, a standard PC screen won't.

You'd need a converter at around £150

You can get those £25 converters... but I guess for £25 you're not going to get the best picture in the world are you? Guess they'll be generally shocking if they're like any of the XGA thing's I've used.

I've not seen any cheap ones that take component (only composite) I can't imagine they'd be much cop since proper video conversion is never cheap.
