Wii Tops 20 million

Just goes to show what can be achieved when you develop an innovative, reliable console. Gratz Ninty - they must be making almost as much money as Blizzard lol.
 
Hopefully this means we can look forward to enjoying a Nintendo console with actual decent third-party support*!

*Not forgetting Capcom of course. Bless their little cotton socks for trying so hard with us.

They should be falling over themselves to make games for the biggest console of this generation. No one predicted that though, even nintendo themselves distanced themselves from saying they were competeting for sales.

All the time the money changing hands for xbox or ps3 exclusives, they have backed the wrong horse.
 
December had good stocks of Wiis though (Nintendo released more Wiis than sales). The shortage problems were in November, and indeed the shortage problems seemed to be UK only. The rest of Europe, US and Japan didn't have many problems, stock just about kept up with demand.

Plus the bundles idea is logically flawed. There are no 8 game bundles. even if everyone purchased a 4 game bundle, then they still went out purchased 4 more games and those 4 games would equal the PS3 attach rate anyway.

Definitely, my one gathers dust - novelty wore off quickly, bought 2 - 3 games for it, but playing anything other than wii sports is a chore with the wiimote/nunchuck controller setup

You've not played RE4, MP3, SMG, etc. then.

MP3 probably has the best control method of any game out there for a console. It even gives a keyboard and mouse a run for its money.
 
The good thing is, if they do develop good games for the Wii they will be able to design them differantly, have more choice and code them better because compared the the xbox and ps3 its easier to code for.

The only downside is they will have to work in standard definition so if any wii games were ported to any other console they would have to be updated to support High quality graphics.

But looks like theirs good games to come, i think developers have got the hang of it now (Zack & Wiki, No more heroes, Mysims etc.)
 
i know graphics arnt everything, but the why didnt they bother trying to make games at least look nice? Some of them are terrible.

crap system for me, once the initial excitement of the motion controls wears off its just a gamecube with annoying controls.

Example? Not seen anything look bad tbh - on normal tv games look better than my Xbox, which was "good enough imo". In 480p they look positively good.

Had my wii for over a year and it still excites me xD
