Wii U digital purchases question.

Hi,

Is anyone able to confirm whether Wii U digital purchases are tied to the console or tied to the login ? (such as in Apple downloads)

I was rather annoyed with Nintendo, after buying up a load of digital downloads for my kids on the original Wii, and then after having to replace the console, i wasn't able to re-download my games. I was told by Nintendo that I would have to re-purchase them, because they were tied to the old console.

Have Nintendo changed their rotten ways of milking you for what you've already bought or have they realised that everyone else allows you to re-download upon replacing the console ?

If the latter, what about your existing digital downloads for the original Wii ? Can you transfer them to the Wii U ?

So if i transfer them, will they also be playable on the original Wii ?

My Wii U, is wrapped up and ready for the kids for XMAS, so cant play around.

Even though I've lost the majority or the original Wii digital purchases, i did go ahead and re-purchase some of the better ones such as Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros.

I want to keep the original Wii, and put it in one of the kids bedrooms, can i keep the digital purchases on both consoles or just one?

Example i have mutiple PS3's, and i'm able to download one purchases onto all of them.
